What is The Grønt Marked Kitchen?

At the heart of our community is the Grønt Marked Kitchen, where we cook using the best seasonal, local ingredients our producers have to offer. But we’re more than just a kitchen – we’re a culinary movement dedicated to transforming the way we think about food. With our mission being to highlight the beauty and importance of seasonal eating by showcasing how everyone can make delicious and sustainable meals using locally sourced produce.

Seasonal cooking in Copenhagen

Grønt Marked Kitchen brings its culinary magic to life every Sunday at Grønt Marked, located at four different venues across Copenhagen. Each Sunday, we prepare a special dish featuring seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the market, ensuring freshness and quality. Alongside our savoury meals we also offer dessert for those of us with a sweet tooth.

 

Whether you’re a regular visitor or a curious newcomer, you’ll experience a menu that highlights the best of what each season has to offer. Our menu moves with the seasons, with every dish is crafted according to their colours and flavours. From crisp spring greens and delicate herbs, summer salads full of beautifully red tomatoes, to hearty winter stews packed with root vegetables and aromatic spices, every bite tells the story of local farming.

 

 

In addition to our Sunday markets, Grønt Marked Kitchen extends its passion for seasonal cooking through catering services and special events.

Whether it’s a private gathering, a company event, or a public celebration, we bring the same dedication to quality and sustainability to every occasion. Our catering menus suit the needs and preferences of our guests, always with a focus on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.

Why eat at Grønt Marked Kitchen?

At Grønt Marked, we believe that cooking is about both flavour and respect. Respect for the environment, respect for the farmers and producers who work tirelessly to bring us the very best ingredients, and respect for our own bodies and well-being. Our commitment to these values is reflected in every aspect of our operation, from the way we source our ingredients to the care we take in preparing our dishes.
