OUR MARKETS
Indre by
Address: Gammelholm – Havnegade 54
This humble little square at the end of Nyhavn will house the farmers markets this year. Easily accessible by bus and metro to Kongens Nytorv, and then a tiny walk.
We’ve moved our 1st monthly markets from Refshaleøen, (where it all began) to a new location, just by Inderhavnsbroen, in the inner city. The Havnegade promenade runs along the inner-basin harbour from the Knippelsbro-brigde to the newly built Inderhavsbroen-bridge. It used to be the naval shipyard, and is full of beautiful historical buildings from the 1800’s.
We recommend to take a walk and think of the abundant life this harbourfront has housed throughout centuries.
We are happy to bring the life and joy of a farmers market to such a special place in the city.
Vesterbro
Address: Litauens Plads, København V
There’s a lot to do in Vesterbro, and the market is always a very lively event. A lovely square by the old church in a charming neighbourhood, easily cycled or a short walk from the main station.
The local bakery Bageriet Brød often have a stall with their delicious pastries, and there are many local small food shops around the area to try. We say go for a stroll!
It’s always a good day when there’s a Nørrebro Market – we think.
We can only recommend taking a peek next 3rd Sunday of the month.
Nørrebro
Address: Skjolds Plads, København N
Easily reached with Cityringen Metro, the 6A bus or bike, the area around Skjolds Plads is a new happening neighborhood in outer Nørrebro, halfway to Østerbro and close to Bispebjerg park.
Frederiksberg
Address: Aksel Møllers Have, Frederiksberg
The flat green area of Aksel Møllers Have provide a quite nice spot for a farmers market.
The otherwise quiet and calm field turns into a busy and lively market for one Sunday a month.
Every 4th Sunday of the month!
Especially easy to reach via the metro, which stops on the square itself… Or bike, of course!
Aksel Møllers Have is located in between the neighbourhood of Nørrebro and Frederiksberg. Frederiksberg actually has it’s own separate commune, and is a very interesting area to explore. It is home to some lovely green parks, such as Frederiksberg Have and Søndermarken. Nice for a picnic.

FAQ
We believe all farmers should have the possibility to sell at a fair price directly to the consumers – at the same time, consumers should have access to fresh, seasonal, local and healthy food. In this sense, Farmers Market are an important step towards connecting local farmers and end-consumers, cutting out the middleman. Moreover, Farmers Market are places where to build relations – they contribute to creating a transparent food-shopping alternative where human connection and community comes first.

You can write to us or swing by one of our markets. We are always happy to meet new faces and discuss great ideas! You are also welcome to volunteer at the markets 🙂 for more info please check the volunteers page!
A community made by farmers, volunteers, friends, colleagues and believers – each one ready to support the project and contribute with their skills, enthusiasm and great ideas! Read more about the origin of Grønt Market and the team right here!
We don’t do events. Farmers Markets are not an event for entertainment, but a regular monthly or weekly appointment for people to buy their groceries. The main goal is for producers to sell while establishing connections and for consumers to buy good and healthy food while learning about our food system. In order to guarantee successful markets, the focus should always be on the farmers and their produce.
All the producers take MobilePay & cash. Some of them also accept cards.
We suggest you bring your own bags from home. Most producers use reusable or no packaging when possible. But cheese & juices are sometimes in plastic. All the producers use biodegradable materials to wrap produce when up to Health & Safety standards.
Grønt Marked is an open air market, so there are no covered areas.
