Do you want to support the market?
Grønt Marked is a registered non-profit association, driven by a dedicated community of volunteers. In 2022, we received some grant funds allowing us to temporarily pay for some of the many working hours going into building our organisation and planning activities.
We are working hard to become financially self-sufficient so the producers and visitors of the market can rely on Grønt Marked to be there for years to come. This is why we are opening for friends of the market to support us and our mission to establish strong and permanent farmers markets in Copenhagen.
When selling at the markets, the producers pay us a small fee, which contributes to covering some of the cost of organising the markets, but without more markets and even higher sales, the producer fees don’t cover all the costs. The producers are all small companies and the tasks of building a market culture in the city, organising all the logistics, expanding to new locations and increasing the frequency of markets are huge, the producers can’t pay for it all. Your contribution will help finance all these activities and build a stronger foundation for us to build on.
Sign-up process and your reward
If you would like to become a paying supporter of the market, you can choose between a monthly or annual payment, but in any case we ask you to commit for one year at a time, so we can plan our finances and reduce admin fees.
The contribution amount is only 60 kr. per month – about what you would pay for a pint of beer or a few pastries or cups of coffee.
As a token of appreciation, you will get a heads-up on special events organised during the year. In 2022, we invited for lots of activities including a tomato workshop and dinner, a potato celebration, bbq workshop, farm visits and a harvest festival! We also invite you to always come by the volunteer tent at markets to have a chat and a cup of coffee. We will keep on working to create even more activities in future!
