ATTENDANCE POLICY

Once your attendance to the market is confirmed, it is our expectation that you will notify us of any changes, at the earliest convenience.


If your plans change and you have to cancel a registration, you can notify us at least two weeks prior to the market day. If you cancel less than two weeks prior to the market, we reserve the right to invoice you the full amount.

 

We understand that there are special circumstances under emergency and last-minute situations, and these will always be considered, but we encourage you to set in place contingencies for such events and make sure you will notify us as soon as possible.


If you need to make any change to the markets dates please do it through your profile on MarketWurks.

PAYMENT OF STALL

The participation fee is calculated as a percentage of turnover at the market, excluding moms/VAT, with a maximum and minimum fee. This is to ensure a balanced price for all types and sizes of producers. A reporting format for turnover will be shared with all producers attending the markets and all information is of course confidential.


Stall fee: 8% of market day turnover excl. moms/VAT (We add 25% moms on our 8% invoice)


Minimum fee: DKK 350 excl. 25% moms/VAT
Maximum fee: DKK 1.000 excl. 25% moms/VAT

NB: If you cancel your approved market registration less than two weeks before market day, we reserve the right to invoice you DKK 500 excl. 25% moms/VAT as a cancellation fee. We encourage you to plan ahead and give us a call if any changes are needed and we can try to find a solution.

STALL HOLDER (WHO IS STANDING + SELLING AT THE MARKET)

Grønt Marked welcomes everybody’s input and is open to fair and direct feedback, however we will not tolerate confrontational or aggressive behaviour towards any staff, volunteers or shoppers. Inappropriate behaviour will result in warnings and potential removal from the market.


Similarly, those stallholders who ignore the rules and guidelines of accreditation, labelling and more in general the agreements made with the Grønt Marked will jeopardize their position at the farmers’ markets.


If you have concerns on a market day about operations please contact us. If this situation cannot be resolved during the market, and you wish to pursue it further, please write to us and we will discuss and try to solve the matter reasonably and together. 

If a stallholder is found to be in breach of our regulations, guidelines or code of conduct, we will review their participation at all the farmers’ markets and suspend further attendance if deemed appropriate.

STALL PRESENTATION

Transparency and Community are key words in our markets. Customers when shopping at the Grønt Marked expect to have the opportunity to speak directly with farmers and producers and find out more about their food. Which is why we expect that the person manning the stall must be either the principal producer, a family member or farm/ business based employee, all of whom must be directly involved with growing, rearing, catching or making of the product. In the case of value added products, stallholders must be involved in the production process and have thorough relevant product knowledge.


Your Company name must be clearly visible to customers at all times. All goods for sale should be presented neatly and have prices clearly marked for customer viewing, using signage or labels if it is a packaged product. Signage must also be used to name and price all unpackaged items. All produce sold at the market must comply with the Danish labelling requirements according to the law. 


We expect you to always have someone at your stall during the market operating hours. If you need to leave your stall for a time we suggest you ask a neighbouring stallholder to serve customers in your absence.

COMMUNICATION

We promote our markets through our social media pages, national press, local newspapers and flyers/posters printing. We always share the posters and graphics for each market with all the producers. In order to guarantee a high affluence to the markets it’s essential all the producers share and promote the markets through their networks (website, mailing list, social media etc.).

SECURITY

It is your responsibility to make sure your tent is secured during the whole market operating time. If you experience any problem with your tent please make sure to let us know as soon as possible.

PRIVACY

We reserve the right to use images or footage of the market or particular stall to promote the market generally, whether by printed material, through its website or other means.
