MEET THE PRODUCERS

We believe that quality produce is impossible without animal welfare, care for the soil, care for the environment, transparency in business and social responsibility for all humans involved.
When you visit a Grønt Marked farmers market, you will only meet producers who share these values, and are highly passionate about them. As a market, we feel proud and fortunate to work with women and men who represent the future of food, as we see it.

They are small scale, hands-on in the field, sowing, cultivating, harvesting, milling, brewing, distilling, working hard all year around to not only feed people the freshest, most nutritious food, but to feed the environment and it’s ecosystems while pushing the agenda of a sustainable, regenerative farming.
In our view, they are an essential and indispensable part of food production in their country, and we are happy to provide yet another platform for them to distribute their produce and knowledge to the city public.

Industrialization of food has made us so distanced from our farmers. Next time you are on the marketplace – try to ask about their heirloom tomatoes, their milk, their regenerative grazing, their chicken feed, the slaughterhouse.

Our hope is that you will go home with new knowledge and fresh produce to pass onto family and friends.
